Authentic Gypsy Flamenco - definitely a 'Marmite' event for some

Firstly, apologies to the non-Brits for the Marmite analogy....Kelipe will be something that you either love or hate, just like Marmite! I loved it, whilst others in my party wondered where all of the dancing and flowing/spotty skirts were.....this is traditional gypsy flamenco. Kelipe is a very small venue (8 tables of 4 surrounding a small stage) and as such... More

Coming into the small and humble room with it's small stage I didn't know what to expect. But as soon as the music started I knew it was going to be something special. The three musicians (percussion, singer and guitar) and the female dancer, are masters at what they do. The virtuoso technique married to the emotional charge and sheer... More

This was our first visit here, and we would come back again next time we came to malaga. The performers genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves, and they were perfectly in time with one-a-nother. It really did feel like an intimate gig, and the venue is a great place too. We would strongly recommend this atmospheric place! :)

I felt like it's the kind of original flamenco that the gypsy women were dance by the side of the carriage, while the men were singing and chanting… Such a remarkable experience, She dances so powerful so passionate! The tap dance is simply amazing!

What a soul-moving experience! Even though we couldn't understand what they were singing..., the total performance could be felt by the overall passion for the art! The guitarists were excellent and all the other performers most entertaining! The flamenco dancer captivated you with her passion and movements- definitely a highly recommended experience! Included in the ticket price is two drinks... More

Booked ahead on line, arrived 9.15 pm, two nice glasses of wine included in price, but could have been any 2 drinks of your choice. The performers are amazing musically and visually, dramatic, completely immersed in their art. A wonderful evening - we were thrilled

My daughter and I had a great night at Kelipe. the music and dancing were authentic and captivating. Even though there was only one dancer she was fantastic and the music was excellent and varied. They welcomed us to their casa and it really did feel like you were being welcomed to their family home

Nestled within the heart of this lovely city and in easy reach of excellent tapas bars. Kelipe Centro De Arte Flamenco exceeded all expectations and is well worth the money. We just turned up on a Saturday night and were able to be accommodated. The simple venue (which is probably a teaching club by day) does at first make you... More

A very basic venue but its not about the venue..its about the flamenco..and that is fantastic. The performers are very passionate about what they do and that comes across during the performance. A must see if you go to Malaga..€24 with two large glasses of wine..great value.

We have visited Kelipe twice in the last few weeks. I had heard the guitarist, Juan, perform elsewhere so I knew we would not be disappointed on our first visit. We were 'blown away'! I used to be quite indifferent to Flamenco, viewing it from brief TV appearances and skeptical about the tourist oriented way in which it was presented.... More
