This is one of the nicest train stations I have used in all of europe. There is a shopping mall inside including a regular size grocery store. The station has a modern look and is clean. It is also not very far from the central tourist area. I took the AVE high speed train from here to Madrid which left promptly on time.

This is not just a train station. There is an amazing shopping mall too with lots of really good shops. All very clean. Trains from Malaga are so very cheap. 2.5€ to the airport!

After arriving at Malaga airport we had some time to kill here before catching our train to Seville. Lovely shops, cafes and restaurants in a pleasant environment. We had a snack lunch at one of the cafes where there was plenty of choice and it was very tasty. Also very clean toilets.

Maria Zambranco Station is a great railway station my twin brother Stephen and I visited as we were exploring around this part of the city and I must say I was totally impressed with this station.
Named in honour of the famous Spanish philosopher Maria Zambranco ,it's the central railway hub of the city ,it has 11 platforms and is very modern ,constructed in 2007 over the site of the old Malaga Railway Station which had stood since 1863 ,as you would expect in such a modern station there's lots of cafe's,bars and fast food outlets and facilities are high tech, all in all it's a station well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Calle Mendivil.

The service and the smiles here make a huge difference to a journey.
A wonderful, kind and considerate man at the ticket desk facing hundreds of people a day I imagine, greets you with a warm welcome and willingness to help. Service like this must always be applauded. Not forgetting the security staff, the same warm greeting and personal experience despite doing this hundreds of times a day. We forget sometimes and focus on the not great experiences but more emphasis on the good people will make the world a better place. Thank you for making a long and difficult journey so much more pleasurable.

Maria Zambrano station is clean, modern and easy
to use. We arrived from Granada and departed three days later for Cordoba without any problems. Departures and arrivals are clearly marked.

I have to open by saying that the station is very good, the thing that annoyed us was the ticket office and the difficulty getting tickets. It took us over an hour to get 2 tickets from Malaga to Cordoba. Of the 3 ticket machines only 1 was working and even then with all the information to hand it took 10 minutes at the machine to get a ticket. If you are traveling immediately, why do they need your passport number (all passengers) and telephone numbers before they will issue the tickets. Great train service pity about the ticket offices. If you are travelling into Malaga to catch a connecting train allow at least 2 hours at the station to get your tickets.

Incredible María Zambrano train station, which includes the large Vialia shopping center with a hotel included, you can travel to any point in Spain from this train station and it is the gateway to tourism on the Costa del Sol, Marbella, Puerto Banús, Estepona, San Pedro de Alcántara, also has a taxi station, picked up by transfer companies such as taximarbellamalaga. Com, and a large bus station 100 meters away.
