A few years ago I walked up to the castle and it didn’t take me as long as I thought (but I was fitter then!!). Decided to drive up this time and glad I had google maps to help navigate. There is parking outside the castle and we walked the few steps to the viewpoint. Spectacular views down across the bull ring, port area and city beyond - there is an orientation panel but not easy to interpret due to weathering. It can be difficult to get a reasonable view elsewhere due to the trees/foliage and other than from the castle ramparts, this is where you’ll get the best views (and it’s free..👍).

Well worth the effort to climb to the top, even on hot day. The views over the city are absolutely amazing & only €3.50 it’s an absolute bargain.

Our guide took us to the top in the elevators-you open up to a hallway that leads you to the gardens- there are restrooms there. From the top you can see the Bull Fight Arena. Separate rooms with artifacts are also included. We walked to the streets below through gardens and running water. Very beautiful. Uneven ground so be very cautious.

We visited the Mirador/Catsillo on a bright sunny morning in February. Afternoons are free but its worth paying the charge to go in the morning as its quieter and worthwhile.

Its a beautifully preserved historical sight, the small museum is interesting and the walk around the castle walls well worth doing.

If you have mobility issues it might be difficult to get around the walls, but there is a road access to the castle so you can get there by car/taxi. And its well worth it for the view over Malaga.

It’s worth to climb up to this viewing point because you can see the city, the bullring, the port and the sea. It’s not an easy walk on steep path (you need comfortable shoes!) so we had a rest for some minutes to enjoy the great panorama. It’s free, but we bought a combine ticket to the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro (Castle). They were great, I recommend it.

Castillo De Gibralfaro is a great castle dating from the 10th century ,it's a big tourist attraction and rightly so ,an interesting and fascinating piece of history ,one of the attractions of this castle is Mirador Del Gibralfaro ,a great viewing platform offering superb views of both Malaga City and Malaga Port ,it's a bit of a hike up to the castle but the views are most definitely worth it,well worth checking out if you're near Castillo De Gibralfaro .

This is a lovely place with great views out over the port of Malaga, a little strenuous to get to with quite steep zig zag cobbled paths but worth it. The only word of caution is that two girls seemingly looking like tourists tried to pick pocket me on the path up, the sound of the Velcro opening on my man bag which was over my shoulder gave them away!

This is a viewing point half way up the hill to the fort, lovely views. Quite a climb!!! Shoes are needed, not flips. Good information on what you can see in both directions from the lookout point
