If we had just been on a sightseeing trip this would have been one of the attractions we skipped. However it was right across the street from our hotel so all we had to do was step out the door. It's a nice church, old but not by Spanish standards, and in good condition. We snapped a few pictures and... More

Unusually for Spanish churches, every time we went it was locked up. It is set in the lovely 'old' part of town and it and its setting was lovely. Shame we never saw inside.

We went to 11am Sunday mass in this beautiful old church in the heart of Estepona while on holiday in nearby DuQuesa. It was filled with local people and the mass included music and singing by a really great small folk choir. While it was very hot at first, fans above the pews were soon turned on. Mass in Spanish... Beautiful old church in old town Estepona! Attended 11am Mass, lovely service, very quaint inside and out. Very warm, no air conditioning. The only fault for me. 👍

We revisit this church most times when we are in Estepona to take more photographs in different light conditions including at night when it is illuminated. It really is quite lovely and we must go back and try to get inside this visit.

We were staying on calle veracruz, the road next to it. Our roof terrace looked straight at the tower. We popped up to see it as we used it as a landmark point to get back to the hotel every day. We could not go in as a wedding was on at the time, the photographer was staying in our... More

The church is unique and it was made of sandstone which is rich in iron ore. It used to be a Franciscan monastery way back the 18th century .. Indeed rich in history.

Located in Plaza San Francisco in the heart of the old town is "our Lady of Remedios Church which is better known under it's Spanish name of Nuestra Senora de Los Remedios. If you are exploring the old town you really should visit the church as the interior is definitely worth a view.

This church is in a lovely plaza and is at the heart of Estepona. It has the usual dressed statues as is customary in this part of Spain.
