The palace part of the alcazar was relatively simple especially since I had already been to the Alhambra and the Alcazar is Seville. The really striking part of this complex are the gardens. They are really beautiful and pleasant to stroll through, especially on a...More

The palace was nice, with walls and towers you could walk along and climb for some nice views of the old part of the city. The Arab baths were also nice.

I went here every morning for my 3-day trip to Cordoba. Only went inside once, but loved the gardens and fountains.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the gardens are great while the palace is not much to see, except for the awesome Roman mosaics. A few posts back it was mentioned that tickets to the night light show could be obtained from your hotel for free....More

Although most cities in Spain have an Alcazar and Cathedral this one was worth visiting. There is not much to see inside however the gardens are beautiful with the fountains and statues. Don't miss the view on Mezquita from the top.

The "Alcazar de los Reyes Crisitianos" are just 10 minutes walk from the Mosque of Cordoba, near the river Guadalquivir. The visit may be divided between the part of the gardens with its fountains, and the party that served as the residence where the Catholic...More

The Catholic Kings (Isabel and Ferdinand) stayed in the Alcazar more than eight years while they were planning the final siege of Granada. Columbus visited them several times to try to convince them to fund his voyage to the Indies. The castle itself does not...More

Although there is not much to see inside unless you're really interested in the history (except the mosaics), it's a remarkable place to visit, right after the Mezquita. It may not look very attractive from the outside, but it's definitely worth going inside. Don't miss...More

There was no queue when we were there in the morning. I saw more people in the afternoon, but nothing compare to Seville. I don't think you need to pre book.
