Had a great visit to Dora-Mittelbau this week. As always the camp and museum is free to visit, and not that big compared to other such camps. Museum is small, with mainly German text, but there is a free book you can borrow form the...More

Let's get one thing straight, this is a KZ, a concentration camp and as such it js nothing less then absolutely horrible. Leaving lack of respect for human lives aside (which you of course cannot do) this place is testament to an engineering marvel and...More

This visit would have been excellent if the information boards also had an English translation and more importantly, the audio guides were more comprehensive, particularly covering the tunnels in some detail. We both feel that...More

I was near the area so I dragged my boyfriend to go to this KZ for a tour. The tour on Sunday was at 11:00 in German. It's the only way to get into the tunnel so we did this tour. It was in German...More

The now peaceful site of this former concentration camp belies its past. Hundreds died here as they were forced to participate in the building of the V-2 rocket. Much of the work was underground in deplorable conditions. This site is personally guided but well-marked. Allow...More
