Especially the wooden alter and some of the paintings make the cathedral a must for visitors. Every part/section of the alter displays a part of the bible where passion/Easter is in focus. Indeed, worth to study in details. You should bring a binocular to be...More

We went to see the traditional New Years Day concert and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. This is a huge church in a lovely area of beautiful old buildings. The church organ sounded magnificent and the trumpets splendid for the large audience. The church was...More

A typical German Dome with an amazing oak wood altar carved by Hans Brüggemann from 1514 to 1521. The altar depicting biblical history from Christ's arrest to Ascension is a masterpiece!

A fascinating cathedral with many interesting features such as an intricately carved altarpiece with carvings of the last days of Christ. If you are feeling energetic there are great views from the bell tower.

The Dom will surprise you, once you enter. See the outstanding wood carvings in the altar area, you will be amazed by it's intricacy and story!

We visited to research family history and found an absolutely stunning location with many historical relics. This is a must visit if you're in the area. It's free to enter but there are regular requests for donations and a tour up the tower is extra.

This church has evolved over the centuries and this is how it feels. The outside looks a bit like Siena, with brickwork in stripes, but has a Romanesque doorway at the side and a close which feels like that of an English cathedral, except that...More
