We went for afternoon beer but as Tuesday is a rest day, most traditional German Harbour knejpe were closed. So we just enjoyed a walk looking at some nice old sailing boats, ad suddenly heard lots of splashing noises. When we got to the end...More

Good place to walk or to enjoy the views. There are quite enough cafes to have some beer or vine. You can even organize a picnic. It’s up to you. There is also a possibility to walk on a yacht.

We were here on a cold and crisp Febuary day and quite enjoyed the walk along the old harbour. There is a museum there too (1€ entrance)

Very interesting for historic boatlovers and just for a nice stroll along the harbour. Nice fish burgers to be had from stall right on quay.

Walking along the docks there was plenty of wildlife and it looked like an interesting museum which we didn't go in. The street along the dock is a bit dirty and in June some of the restaurants weren't open for lunch. Ehhh.

This is such a good idea, and the range of traditional craft on display is well worth a view. The fact that it all ties in with the excellent Maritime Museum and the little traditional boatyard makes it even better.

Do you mean public transportation such as regular bus service? If so, yes you can get around by bus within the city of Schleswig and also between the cities of Kiel, Eckernfoerde and Flensburg. Just google it :)
