It is strange to recommend to visit a cemetery like a tourists attraction, but it is worth. On a daytime, of course :) The cemetery, which was established in XIX century, is more like a park. An amazing chapel is surrounded by gravestones and sculptures,...More

This is a huge cemetery near the monument to the War of Nations. It strikes me as an unusual place to visit for a visitor to Leipzig. I do give it 4 stars as a place to be buried if that is what you are...More

A tranquil cemetery with many interesting and beautiful memorials. The cemetery also includes a memorial to those soldiers from the local regiment who fell in the First World War (as well as some individual graves to soldiers who died in WW1).

May be a little strange to visit a cemetery as an attraction but the architecture and lay out of the place is quite spectacular, and very much worth a walk around.

One of the most beautiful cemeteries I've seen. It's more like a park with lots of flowers, if you visit at springtime. There's a lake and a beautiful building in the middle of the cemetery, with a Mediterranean atmosphere. It's located near the Volkerschlachtdenkmal.

Although it might sound a bit creepy to visit a cemetery just for tourism this one actually worths it. Since it's next to the Volkerschlachtdenkmal it is a very good option to combine both visits in one shot.
