Needed to fill a cold moring before we left and this was just the job. Make sure you get to see the model railway when it is running (just listen out for the announcement which are also in English). Largest layout I have seen for ages.

The Dresden Transport Museum in housed in a renaissance style building called the Johanneum (name evoking King John since 1876. That king decided the last alteration of the building having taken place so far) at the Neumarkt just a few meters from the Frauenkirche. That edifice was built in the eighties of the sixteenth century and it endured heavy damages... More

Very well presented. And most placards in English as well as German which was much appreciated. Not too big but we still spent almost 2 hours.

When paying ask for the Wifi code, scan the QR code on the counter and download the app from play store and the audio guide. (Tip: don't do it in reception as signal is poor, walk over to the cars). With the audio guide it makes the exhibits that have numbers more understandable. The cars were good as were the... More

We had a lovely time looking at the old trains/cars/motor cycles and motor bikes. The best one I liked was the racing car as you go in.

One entrance to the Verkehrsmuseum (Transport Museum) is situated in an inner yard Stallhof. Coming from tram stop Altstadt in Wilsdrufferstrasse you will find an opening into Stallhof where Töpferstrasse and Brühlsche Gasse meets Augustusstrasse. You can also enter Stallhof from Schlosstrasse just before it meets Augustusstrasse, which is close to tram stop Teaterplatz. I missed the entrance where Augustusstrasse... More

Lots of different motor vehicles, several trains and also other modes of transport. Costs E9 for adults but less for families etc, and a general play area on transport theme looked good for the very young. Huge model railway was unfortunately not running, so might be best to ask first at reception if that's what you've come for

This is a museum right up my street. A history of transport in Germany that includes cars, trains and aircraft. My only complaint is that we didn't have enough time to visit everything, only the automobiles and trains. I will definitely come back for another visit.

I don't know much about vehicles but I still found this museum really interesting. Honestly I think those who love transports should visit here. Me and my friend had a great time here.
