Wonderful exhibits that help you understand regional history. We spent about three hours in the Residenz and Green Vault together. We could have spent a few more hours. It is a little pricey, but worth it if you can spend the time.

The old royal residence has now been transformed into a museum. Its most famous exhibit is the large green diamond which is part of the jewelry collection. Apart from this, the museum houses numerous works of art, an armory collection and a collection of Ottoman...More

This is worth the trip all by itself, especially if you read the details and understand the importance of this palace and its inhabitants. Totally reconstructed with an excellent eye to detail. The museum all by itself and an easy, educational visit

The royal palace has been very efficiently restored after it was terrible bombed during the war like actually all of Dresden was.. The communist regime did also do their best to add to the destruction.

The Residenzschloss houses numerous museums, several of which are accessible on the same admission ticket. We went in the Neues Grunes Gewolde (New Green Vault), the Turkische Cammer (Turkish Chamber), Riesensaal (Giant's Hall), Munzkabinett (Numismatic Cabinet), Renaissance flugel (wing). We had had enough by then...More

We walked through the Royal Palace which was neat and then chose to climb the tower. It maybe our last "tower climb" as we are both now 70+! The stairs did provide several places to rest, however. Inside the tower I was interested in the...More

The whole Dresden day trip from Berlin was one of most pleasure tours in Germany. It provides full of history. We highly recommended.

We were on a day tour of Dresden and decided to spend some free time in this museum. It was interesting, but a little difficult to navigate. After an hour we gave up. I am glad we went here..
