The "wondrous" aspect of this bridge that spans the Elbe is its construction. It is one of the first steel suspension bridges in the world requiring no supporting piers in the water.

This bridge is an all metal structure that spans the Elbe from Schillerplatz to Grundstrasse. We accessed it on the Hop on Hop Off city Bus tour, but you can use public transportation too. The area on both sides is full off stores and especially...More

This is quite an engineering feat of construction and it also survived the second world war. You can get to it by the hop on hop off buses or public transport.

We crossed the bridge on foot. Beautiful views of the river and the river banks. In this setting the bridge stands out as looking "modern" although it is older.

You walk over this on the way to Dresdens funicular and the rack Railway. One of those 5 minute things to see and pass on and click on the list of things gone. Some nice cafes at one end of the bridge towards Dresden.

Easy to walk from Blaues Wunder to the next bridge downstream. Gives you a different view on Dresden.

It is rivetting if you'd excuse the expression. Take your camera. I gather it was built the year the Eiffel was or by the same architect?

The Blue Wonder is interesting from a historical perspective. We took a tour bus ride across the bridge. It is better seen from the street or along the bike trails of the Elbe.
