A beautiful Castle, not to big, medium size . Amazing garden area, with a great collection of plants and trees from all over the world. In the gardens they had a great art collection exposed. Overall a great day, the only downside is the price...More

An 18th-century summer villa, this is a lovely visit even if you don't focus on the museum. There are gardens--and the central pleasure garden is astonishing in its color palettes--of deep reds, purples, yellows, with spots of white, and artemisia (?) if grey. The two...More

We detoured from the Elbe cycle way to visit this palace. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain, so we could not fully appreciate the beautiful gardens, but we enjoyed the palace itself, which had noticeboards in German and English. The kitchens were a particular highlight....More

We visited on a Monday - and the castle buildings were closed, so we could only visit the gardens and park. The gardens are beautifully laid out. For the first time ever, we saw a red squirrel, which made my day!

The best component of this palace is super wide garden. Gardens are well cared, wide, green in summer and you can enjoy the grown nature and avoid hot weather effectively. If you visit the palace in the morning, you can feel better. I think I...More

I didn't liked the place much. It has just one garden with flower beds and rest is like jungle. Entry fees is also there of around € 8 . Its not worth going in 😞

Schloss Pillnitz is an impressive summer residence for the royals of Saxony, set in extensive parkland with some beautiful gardens. There are some good exhibitions in the buildings (we particularly liked the castle's old kitchen), but the setting and gardens were the main attraction for...More

Go by paddlesteamer up the river to pretty Pilnitz castle, the home of the Royal mistress!. Lovely gardens to wander around for free or have some refreshments at their café
