You will find this elaborate Rococo fountain constructed in 1750 by Johannes Seiz in the middle of the Kornmarkt square. It depicts St. George and the four seasons. After being badly damaged in World War II, it was completely restored and moved to its present location from in front of the old town hall. It is impressive and makes for a nice photo opportunity. There are many shops and restaurants around the Kornmarkt, so you can make a stop in the area as you walk between the Hauptmarkt and the Karl Marx House.

The fountain sits on the "Kornmarkt" and is surrounded by a little park which is lovely for resting - but you can also go shopping, or have lunch nearby.
It is not far from the Roman Aula Palatina, the impressive Hauptmarkt and the Karl Marx Haus.

A fountain situated on a square with a small park (Kornplatz). A beautiful place to take a rest while visiting Trier.

The fountain is in the centre of Trier. It is very nice to look at, but is similar what you find in most large cities, so nothing special.

On our last day we visited this fountain. I believe Trier considers this as one of their highlights of the town but I don't agree with that. The fountain is not that special.

The fountain is a tourist attraction at "Kornmarkt" surrounded by a small park with some benches under trees to take a rest. But nearby you also find some interesting restaurants and nice shops. When you enter the courtyard of the historical post office on the other side of the pedestrian area you find some hidden shops, restaurants and a city hotel and if you turn to the opposite side you can see the Roman Aula Palatina (Emperor`s Reception Hall). Walking the pedestrian area to the left you`ll reach the "Karl Marx Haus" and to the right you`ll come to the interesting Main Market.

I have been to Trier many times but had never seen this. I went out of my way to go see this fountain. It was well worth the walk. And it’s actually much larger than it appears in the pictures it really is beautiful to look at and sit on the bench and just enjoy
