This is a square in the center of Koblenz that is perfect for sitting, talking or just strolling. There are shops and restaurants all around it and the statue in the center is very interesting.

Noah's arch statue is lovely to see. Such a piece of art and much larger than I expected it to be. Nice Christmas market booths along the streets. Fun visit.

The Gorresplatz is a very pleasant open space in the Koblenz's Alstadt. The central fountain holds the "Historiensaeule" (History Column". It is a 10 meter tall depiction of Koblenz's known 2000 year history, from Romans to modern times. The details are impressive.

Came across this fountain by chance. So pleased we did. It is fascinating telling the history of 2000 years of Koblenz. Do not rush by, you keep seeing more and more detail all the time. It was very moving to see next to the top the part depicting the destruction in WW2 but then the hope in the top depicting... More

Nice place to stop and watch people go by. We rested here on our way down to the cable car. Some decent cafes.

I was here again this year there are many eateries and bars around the square with a fountain in the centre there are many photo opportunities and plenty to do if not interested in photo taking

This lovely square is dominated by the large fountain Historiensaule in it's centre. There are many cafes and bars aound the square to sit, enjoy a drink and people watch.

The amount of detail is incredible. We sat and watched the fountain/art for many minutes. As you walk around it take note of all of the detail.

The place is nice to be. Not spectacular but a nice place to see when you visit the other places in town. We parked right under Gorresplatz and only paid €6,- for the whole afternoon we were there. The shops around the square are not really special but you can shop till you drop around the corner in the other... More
