Lovely small town to wander around, have a bite to eat or a glass of wine; lovely small cathedral (was being renovated at the time). Being pre- Christmas, the locals had decorated the whole town with christmas trees and small christmas parcels everywhere. We'll be back in warmer weather!

This is a nice church from the 17th century with good exterior and impressive interior. I would rank the stained glass as its best asset. The tower is equally impressive.

Located in District Maarsbergen, Trier -North. Striking is its Westfassade and its high Square Tower with octagonal dome. The Romanesque church of St. Trophimes in Arles and Saint Etienne in Nivers (South France) were a model for architect Peter Marx, 1912 construction started, donated by Pastor Kloschinsky. It is located at dangerous crossroad. Next to the former abbey stands a crusifixion group. This former Benedictine Abbey was built in 1626, only its West Wing has been maintained.
