This monument represents the way people shopped before there were markets and scores. Essentially the statue is a depiction of a traveling salesman. One who brought food and dry goods to small towns were people were either not able or unwilling to travel from to...More

Friendly staff Great food Pretty location We are outdoors as it was a lovely hot midweek day . Was fairly busy this lunchtime so I guess it gets hectic at weekends !

The Kiepenkerl tells the story how it worked in former times to buy food or even to get the latest news from him. There was no newspaper,so he knew the latest news by walking from village to village.

Interesting monument in a prime location. There are two restaurants right next to it, bearing the same name. Eat in one of them, the food is amazing and the service very friendly.

A nice statue on a lovely square, for pictures a bit hidden between the umbrellas of the teracce. We found it while walking a geocaching tour. Which brought us to a range of lovely spots in Munster
