We liked this visit because it was very low key, easy to acces by car or by foot, entrance was only 5 euros and inside you could peek to a lifestyle of the area in 1300s to 1900s. The visit could take from 30min to...More

Took friend, visiting from Kiev, Ukraine, to visit. Haven't been here for a few years and I seemed to recall the facility being bigger. That being said it is a very interesting museum, with access being permitted to the majority of buildings. Access is inexpensive....More

This is a self-guided open air museum, showing how people in Münsterland lived a few hundred years ago. There are many old buildings and farm equipment.

Small museum premises for if you want to know more about the former German countryside, its peasants and craftsmen. With vulonteers baking bread, tinsmiths and beekeepers. A nice stop cycling around Lake Aasee.

This museum offers the opportunity to see and experience how peoples lived in former times. It starts with a classroom, supermarket, smoke rooms, where they smoked their saussages. Or you see how small their beds were and you you can see the windmill.

Lovely little 'village' that you walk around and can peer into or walk around houses, blacksmiths, school, bakers, bee-keeper, a windmill, veggie gardens. Very traditional. Not much info about things and it would be better if guided (we just walked around). But on a nice...More
