The building was totally smashed during the last war, but some clever folks rescued and hid the wooden panels from the court room before the bombing. The room was rebuilt and panels put up again to remember history.

Although much of Muenster was destroyed, this hall survived intact. For a small fee they play a nice audio narrative of what the hall was used for and its place into history of the 30 years war. This can be in one of several languages...More

A great place to visit this place to remember the Muenster Peace Agreement in 1648. If you like European history you have to go to visit this place.
