A beautiful park with lots of attractions. Great for a run, excellent for kids with different play-grounds, nice strolls, several places that offer food and drinks, learning opportunities about nature. Been there several times and will definitely get back there.

Just a pretty beautiful peace of greenery in the heart of Essen. Yes you have to pay an entrance fee (unless it's after 18h) but it does seem worth it, especially since this contributes to keeping the place in shape. It's a good place to...More

Shaded walking paths, beautiful gardens with many flowers in bloom, plus a deer park where you can feed and pet the animals. In addition, a hothouse with exotic plants, and a small petting "zoo" where you can pet the goats for as long as you...More

I was there. The park is big and beatiful designed. You can walk there and take beatiful pictures. It is also placed in good part of Essen.

Spent a lovely four hours there. Entrance fee was reasonable, but you needed coins for the trampolines and have to play extra for the train and pony riding too. Beautiful gardens that I would have liked to explore more, but the kids just wanted to...More

This Park is well worth the €4 entry fee. I spent 2 days here while my husband was at the Conference Centre. The gardens are beautiful and varied. Lawns, lakes, formal planting, play areas, lots of sculptures. There are plenty of places to buy refreshments,...More

Huge interesting park. Far too big to discover it all in 3 days. Well laid out. Plenty to see. Miniature railway around the park and Model railway display next to Orangery. Park and display involves entry charge.

Hi, this is good for a full day if you like nature and want it quiet, it can also become crowded but there is always a quiet area, it is huge. Nice with a camera.
