I've been there multiple times and it is still fascinating each time. It offers a lot of history all around Essen as well as Germany itself. Take you cam with you, there's a lot you might wanna keep for another while.

Visit to Zollverein Coal Mine is incomplete without Ruhr Museum. Really great artifacts in both permanent and temporary museum. The approach to the museum is amazing

It was my first visit with friends from Guido Coal Mine Zabrze, and I was very satisfied - the exhibitions are interesting and good organised with big collections. I would like to return there some day to spend more time in this place.
