Maria Kataeva as Angelina, she was like a real angel. All the staff, set and performance followed her success. It was a gala. First time in my life I ate food at an opera house, yes they served food. After having some wine I was...More

Over the past few years we have been quite regular visitors to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. I can remember some really good performances, but a few really awful ones as well! I think this is the problem : inconsistency! Some very fine singers, but...More

It is difficult to evaluate this place because I liked it on the outside, but I didn't have to time to watch/listen to any opera "show".

This opera house is one of the most beautiful in Germany. It has been rebuilt after WWII, but to an astonishing standard. The tour of the opera house before the performance is very nice. It was 10 euros. Then we had tickets to see the...More

The river is one of the busiest places of the city. On one side you have restaurants and bars, the view to the other side and it's quite nice to take a walk.

Great performances for reasonable price; do not compare it with the Vienese Staatsoper or the Royal Operahouse of Covent Garden; do do expect very nice performances in a cosy theater in 50's architecture. Well worth a visit.

The opera house has got a very good staff. International and outstanding singers. Last time we saw Mozart: Zauberflöte, by Barrie Kosky. This was the best ever performance of thsi opera what we saw. But other performances were also very good.

We are used to have dinner at the Opera in Cities like London and New York. Because we are also frequent visitors of Duseldorf and their Oper am Rhein we didn't had much time to have dinner outside the Opera House. So we informed about...More

Enjoyed the ballet show. I managed to get a ticket in the foyer form a gentleman with extras - it seemed legit and saved me a few euros. Dancers are skilled and the choreography very good, especially the ballet in silence, a showcase of skill.
