Located in Markt Platz (Market Square) this is a real part of old Düsseldorf. When we visited the place was alive with Christmas Market and the atmosphere electric (worth it just for the amazing smells of food and mulled wine). That said the Rathaus (town...More

The City Hall is a fantastic building on the outside, great for taking pictures. On marketplatz you can find several coffee shops, restaurants and souvenirs stores. Great for spending some time there during your visit.

This is something the Germans do very well. For lovers of history and architecture the Rathaus must be included in your tour.

This is a nice building in the old town. This is a nice place to look around before you end up in one of the pubs along the river!

Not sure if you can go inside. Still pretty nice building. The marktplatz is also pretty awesome as well. Quite close to the entertainment quarter and found myself wandering through here a couple of times.

Located in Dusseldorf's Old Town this picturesque building with many architectural details. It architectural style reminded me a little bit of buildings I've seen in Denmark. A statue called the Rider sits in front of the building. Worth a look if you're in the area.
