Always part of my visit when in Düsseldorf. Very beautiful sight over Rhein, either walking or running.

We were attracted by the River Rhine and its boulevard and yes, on warmer days it must be great if you like a beer. But this Saturday it was cold and although it was crowded, I was not in the mood for beer. The Sunday...More

Yes it is breathtaking and therefore worth the walk to get there. The many flavours wafting from the ma y restaurants and the beauty of the Rhine will take your breath away.

There certainly are enough bars and restaurants to keep most people happy, although I'm sure you can find better quality elsewhere and avoid the massive TV's showing football. But the views are great not least at sunset.

It is a pleasant walk along the river, away from the road traffic and looking at river barges passing by. Old buildings along the side as you approach the Altstadt from the Mediahafen. A flock of geese flew over as children cycled off to school.
