I love this part of Dusseldorf. The views are superb and watching the cargo ships navigating around the bends is fascinating. There are plenty of places to eat and drink along the promenade and I thoroughly recommend it.

On one side is the Rhine and on the other the lovely Altstadt with it's many restaurants. A lovely stroll, particularly if the weather is nice.

A lovely walk by the Rhine, observing the river barge traffic under grey skies. On the far bank we could see sheep on the flood plain. The sound of motor traffic in the distance. Many places to stop for a drink.

Good place to promenade along the Rhine, with a lot of places to eat and drink. Don't forget to try the local beer.

A promenade free of cars, and with a very beautiful view on the river Rhein and the city. We had nice cappuccinos in one of the bars right by the river. The other side of the river is worth the walk too.
