We went here again for visiting the Christmas Market in December.
The Münsterplatz is I guess the largest square in central Bonn, so it is also the place to ffind Bonn's largest Christmas Marktet.
Although it seems that the number of vendors is still less than in the period before Corona.

We were there a few days before Christmas and we enjoyed the market. Lots of restaurants and bars. My husband had some nice fish and chips from one of the stalls, then we had coffee and cake at one of the lovely coffee shops on the square. Highly recommended when visiting Bonn.

I like the square and the shops in this area. The shopping experience was also nice for me. You can buy clothes, decorations, toys, and many things here.

Munster Square (Munsterplatz) is one of the largest squares in Bonn and is where the Christmas market activities take place every year. In the center of it is a very large statute that was dedicated to Beethoven in 1845. The former Main Post Office is very recognizable with a bright yellow facade with green shutters framing the white windows. You’ll see the POSTAMT signage in the center which designated it as the primary post office.
Also in the square is a large Catholic church (Bonner Munster) and other shops and restaurants are nearby.

The Münsterplatz (Munster Square) is one of the largest squares in central Bonn and also the venue for Christmas Market.
Monuments on and around the square are the former Main Post Office, the Beethoven monument and of course the Bonner Münster (catholic church).
Also shops and the department store Galeria Kaufhof are located ariund the square.
There is an underground car park underneath the square.

Not much open on Sunday, all shops are closed. There were a few restaurants open. Enjoyed seeing all the green and gold Beethoven statues in the square. These are for sale for 300 euros.. Tourists taking pictures among the statues was entertaining to watch.

I arrived in Bonn on a Sunday afternoon. This square was full of people seeming relaxed and happy. Besides the historic buildings around it, the cafes and the closed off Munster I particularly enjoyed the little Beethoven statues set out in the square. It seems that everybody enjoyed them as people were wandering between them and taking photos (as I did too)
Really enjoyed being there
