This picturesque botanical garden lays near a historical barocco palace, which is used now as one of the Bonn university buildings. The trees and plants collection is astounding. It is strongly recommended to visit, when a gigantic titan arum flower starts blooming.

Unless you speak Latin or German that is. The flowers are nice but the trees are great, especially the American redwood and Sequoia The tropical garden was a treat as were the giant waterlilies.

A good invested small entrance fee for a relaxed tour around the ponds and inside the tropical an desert greenhouses. Not very large areal but very complete representing the most different climatic zones.

The garden is not properly maintained and boring. The conservatory opens at 14:00 not open from 10:00 - 18:00!
