Beethoven's house. Hmmmm... IF (and I am not sure of my ground here) this is the premiere site dedicated to the Man on the entire planet it leaves me no more enlightened about the great man than I was when I went in. Some interesting letters and scores, depressing hearing-aids and conversation books, all in glass cases, a reasonable Audio Guide but otherwise... some instruments, some of which he owned, loads of pictures and busts of the great man and his friends and a general sense of tired hagiography hanging like a dust-sheet over the whole place. The final insult was an appalling VR presentation in which Ludwig van had to justify everything from his clothes to his legacy in a rap battle with a Bonn rapper surrounded by doped-up ravers. Dreadful.

Hard to engage without the audio tour, which we were not told about when we entered. I saw another visitor using it, so I enquired. I got the audio tour via the easy smartphone app and it transformed my experience of this museum. Highly memorable!

This is the 18th century house where Bonn's most famous citizen was born, the legendary Ludwig Van Beethoven. The house, located, in the Altstadt city centre pedestrian precinct is well preserved, with many beautiful portraits and other memorabilia of the great man. Use the QR code to download the app onto your phone for descriptions and some of his musical masterpieces.

A must visit for all music lovers. Entrance fee is about twelve euros per person. One could comfortably visit the museum in two hours. Transport in whichever form is very safe and reliable. One could download the app to listen to info on items based there. A souvenir shop is available across the road from the museum.

I actually didn’t know that Beethoven was a Bonner citizen. The house was a nice visit in the city of Bonn. There’s a room where one can listen to his music with earphones which is great. The only thing I would change is the audio guide; I found it rather detailed; I didn’t have the patience to listen to all tracks.

Lots of fascinating tidbits from the life of one of the greatest ever classical composers, would give this one 4.5/5. There are dedicated rooms for listening to music, plenty of musical instruments and artwork on display, and exhibits Beethoven's notebooks (he was fond of crossing things out with a large 'X', it seems). There's also a pleasant courtyard, and a lovely gift shop. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Bonn.

It was great to visit Beethoven’s house and hear his some stories abt music. But the device was not easy to control to hear the descriptions for the displays. Every time for every display, visitor shall find the description and play it. It may be easier to have automatic play when the device comes closer to any display.

The Beethoved House is located in the northern part of central Bonn. Tickets are available in the building opposite the museum, where you can also find a shop with books, Beethoven memorabilia, and a huge selection of music.

The museum has several interesting exhibits, such as musical scores and different artifacts, including hearings aids. The exhibitions and the house gives an excellent description of the composer’s background and life in Bonn and after he left for Vienna in 1792.

The minute you walk in, you immediately feel the
the scent of the genius composer!! Seeing all these treasures in one place was so incredible.

The displays of the museum are numerous and varied, including manuscripts written by Beethoven with his own handwriting; In addition to pictures, various musical instruments, letters, sculptures and coins. The Beethoven House specializes in collecting and displaying everything related to this great composer.

Beethoven was a genius and highly unusual. Despite this, the Beethoven House can only be described as dull and uninspiring. While there are some themes, there is little attempt to tell any sort of story. It feels like a somewhat random collection of scores, artefacts and paintings linked to the great man. Surely you could do better than this given the subject matter!
