We saw exhibits on Neanderthal man and the spread of Homo Sapiens, the origins and spread of the Celts, and a temporary exhibition on the Cistercians. Entrance free with the Bonn Museum Card.

There is lots to see in this museum. It is a shame that only parts have writing in English. Some of the exhibits are in a very strange order, but having said that we enjoyed the visit. We spent about 4 hours in the museum...More

What a lovely building, so modern, so avant-gard... with many beeautiful pieces of the history of the Rhine and it´s people. Nice coffee shop, nice shop... worth the visit

Very interesting concept, the museum shows the history in a very fascinating way. You don't have to follow a chronological circuit which is normally rather boring. The approach is thematic, you can use very good audio guides and learn a lot. The non permanent exhibitions...More

Quite an interesting museum! Though might be we got lucky as they also have now quite an interesting temporary exhibition about beauty - where you can try several things on - like a perfume Napoleon wore. The permanent collection is a bit too diverse, nevertheless...More

Learn about the Rhein area. Good exhibitions on the Celtics, early human civilizations. Slightly "dull" presentations - needs to be spiced up more to attract children. Large space.
