The Bonn Minster is located in Münsterplatz, 5min walk from main train station. The Bonn Minster is a Roman Catholic church in Bonn. It is one of Germany's oldest churches, having been built between the 11th and 13th centuries, During my visit in July 2018,...More

Unfortunately the Munster was closed when we visited - and will be for at least the next 2 years. The cloisters and shop were both open however. The cloisters proved to be a pleasant 10-minute diversion.

It's a great cathedral to see. While it is currently closed for renovations, you can walk around it and still visit the cloister. The front facade is very interesting and looks to be a later addition. Very centrally located so almost hard to miss!

I can highly recommend visiting Bonn Cathedral, however, unfortunately the church will be undergoing significant maintenance and renovation, and so will be closed for a few years.

The church is not that special or different from others. It has its historical value, of course. But what I consider 5 stars is the garden in the cloister center. One of my favorite places during the summer.

This cathedral is closed now for remodeling. The two statue heads of Roman soldiers outside are interesting.

Very nice and calm place, don't forget to visit the cloister too! Church will be closed for renovation for some time but cloister is still open and worth a visit.
