Delicious and cozy!

This place makes the best fish and local eats, so definitely stop here if you're in the area. Fresh food, great atmosphere, very clean restaurant and bathrooms, and friendly staff.

A nice but touristy part of Warnemunde, its worth a stroll around. If you have more than an hour or two to kill, suggest jumping on the train to Rostok- a beautiful old city not far away.

The Alterstrom is great if you are after buying souvenirs and are into really busy places. The true gem of it however are the boats travelling up and down it and the 'harbour feel'. Wasn't particularly blown away by it but hey ho! TOP TIP: You can travel to Rostock for €5 return train and tram. It takes about 20... More

Terrible place with too many shops selling clothes, souvenirs and ice cream. Maybe the beach and the boardwalk is fine but we lost the desire to see more, and quickly returned to Rostock.

A must-see in Warnemünde and honestly you cannot even pass it. Coming from the Pier or the train station you will reach the Alter Strom in a couple of minutes by foot. Stroll around the little shops, enjoy a fish Brötchen, watch people and the sea gulls and enjoy a delicious ice-cream. Don't forget to walk all the way down... More

Of touristy stores and restaurants with the harbor and ships that have become fish shops with interesting dishes from the area. Most people were locals on holiday so the shops had lots of holiday clothes and house hold decorations. There was a weekly art and craft flea market by the lighthouse, but the things were too large for international travel... More

We enjoyed a couple of hours here before returning to our cruise ship after a morning spent in Rostock. It was a lovely, quaint port town with tourist shops and cafes.I really liked the atmosphere and would have loved to have walked down to the beach. Unfortunately a heavy and prolonged rain shower cut short our visit and we made... More

The old stream in Warnemunde was excavated in 1423 and was for almost five hundred years the main shipping route from port of Rostock to the Baltic Sea, when it was replaced with a new one in 1903. Today, the Alter Strom is beautiful fishing port with fish market, good restaurants and popular shops.

Many places in Europe are still cobblestone which is havoc on manual wheelchair users. Warnemunde was not too terrible. We were able to get around to see the sights without too much trouble.

This is a wonderful little port that we visited via cruise ship. This is an excellent spot to tour if you opt out of the long day trip to Berlin. Set up for cruise ship visitors, shops carry a good variety over and above low end souvenirs.
