We visited the Rathaus keller for drinks several times. The staff were really friendly and service was quick. It is a lovely hidtoric building with good beer.

The Rathaus is nice to see and is situated in a lovely square surrounded by nice coffee shops and traditional German restaurants.

Visited 30 years ago and wanted to revisit while I was in the area. The receptionist gave virtually no info. Little English spoken. None of the exhibits have English explanations. The model of the Rathaus isn’t there. Interesting display of artefacts and paintings and the main hall , seating, pictures and so on were a great view. Free to enter but I do think they could make more of it.

We love to visit the different Rathaus' around Germany and the one is Osnabruck is quite lovely. We were not able to go inside as we visited Osnabruck on Christmas Eve, however we would love to return in nicer weather to see the rest of this lovely little town.

The statues look so interesting, I didn’t have the time to go inside, but it definitely worth seeing.

Having been here 45 years ago this building was one of the few I remember. The family didn’t want to do the guided tour unfortunately. The Rathaus is situated in a lovely Square with places to sit and eat and drink- and soak up the historical atmosphere.

It is beautiful but you neednt spend too much time there.

I was treated to a 90 minute tour with a local. guide and was utterly fascinated by both the history that has made up the. place. Careful post-World War reconstruction connects you well with the past, flavored perhaps even better by new creative architecture blending into the scene.

Will it be possible to make a day trip from Frankfurt, covering both Munster and Osnabruck? Are those two places related to the Treaty of Westphalia walkable from the train stations? Are those two places open daily? Thank you so much for your help in advance

Sorry, also if you want the real feel about the time of the treaty then stay at the Romantik Hotel Walhalla as it was built in that time about 1690. Brilliant little hotel right in the mall not far from that coffee shop.
