Springs are to be expected in a spa town like Wiesbaden but on a cold January evening the steaming vapours of the Kochbrunnen (German for ‘Boiling Spring’) were a surprising sight. We went back the next day to have a closer look at the huge...More

This is an old hot spring where you can actually drink the water. Be aware that it smells a bit sulfuric. But this does not mean that you cannot drink it.

My favourite Platz in Wiesbaden, and there are some fabulous little restaurants and places that you can sit outside at. Definitely worth a trip and a walk around.

It's a nice little rotunda covering a big hot spring area in central Wiesbaden. No entrance fee, usually no crowds, just stop by and check it out.

Amazing ! Standing close to hot fumes with volcanic smell was enjoyable experience. Could be a must see / experience site while visiting Wiesbaden !

Here is a place where the hot springs can be experienced. The locals feel that drinking this water (wait till it cools) is a health benefit as these spring waters are high in minerals.
