This attraction has been in Rudesheim since 1978, taking you around the town and vineyards. As you go around the little lanes, you are so close to tables that you could actually take plates and glasses off them. There is also a commentary about wine...More

We were collected from our cruise ship and dropped at the front of the Mechanical museum. After the tour of the Museum we were treated to a Rudesheimer Coffee - made similar to Irish Coffee but with the local delicious brandy. YUM. Walked around the...More

A convenient way of getting from the dockside of the Rhine up to the main part of Rudesheim. The train stops conveniently outside Siegfried's Mechanical Music museum, and is a great way to have a good look at the town as you travel, especially if...More

Easy way to get around, especially from the waterfront if you are on a River Cruise. Runs continuously throughout the day.

Great way of seeing the town and the surrounding Rhine Valley - good introduction to the area. Lovely in the sunshine and although touristy, I enjoyed the ride.

The little land train picks up about every hour from outside Siegfried's Musikal Kabinett. We thought that it was worth the 7 euros, as there is a climb through the vineyards up to the Niederwald Denkmal, with great views. It is quite a bumpy ride....More

The Winzerexpress, a mini-train that has been operating since 1978 is the perfect way to explore the town of Rudesheim. During the 30-minute round trip train ride, there is an English speaking tape explaining the town’s culture and its people. Along the trip you will...More

Yes it is. No worry it is only a 10 minute walk. The walk is quite nice. Walk along the shore, cross the train tracks and you will be down town a few streets away.

Not sure what the Campingplatz is? The train does not travel the main tourist lanes, as they are too small for the train. You may be able to take a folding scooter, it would have to be small.
