St. Jakobus Church is located in the city center of Ruedesheim. It is a re-built local parish church originally built in the 12th century but had been destroyed in wars. It looks nice from outside and simple internally. Worth for visit during your travel there.

This rebuilt parish church is still a tranquil place on the main square, and is obviously an active community church. The information display about the rebuilding after the second world war has been taken down now. The church is a credit to those who rebuilt...More

I visited this place apart from the hustle and bustle in the Christmas market. The small town was crowded with tourists. The inside of the church was serene space. I wanted to stay here much longer.

This Catholic Church of Saint James is a pretty sight in the heart of Rudesheim and is not nearly as ostentatious as some other churches and cathedrals and bastions that we have been to during our trip in Europe.

The church has photo displays and info about the bombing and total rebuilding of the church. It must have taken a lot of determination to rebuild, and it is still an active parish church.
