We have previously visited during Spring and Summer. The lights and smells during Weinachtsmarkt are not to be missed! The food vendors, along with the shopping made this trip a once in a lifetime experience. Not to mention the Gluhwein and Asbach. You must do...More

We visited on Christmas Eve, when the some markets were still open, but many of the shops and restaurants on the Drosselgasse itself were not just closed, but boarded up. I lived in Germany several times in the past and this was a wonderful destination...More

This was our third visit of Rudesheim and this time we went to Drosselgasse in the evening . It was not as crowded as it was the last time and I think that this is the reason I enjoyed it more . The restaurants were...More

The place I wanted to see most Drosselgasse in Ruedesheim we did not see because of low river levels. Which makes me not want to ever take a River cruise with Viking Cruises. They did not tell us until it was to late to change...More

This little, narrow cobbled street has it's charms. We did find some cute shops and some lovely courtyard restaurants. It wasn't very crowded at all, during a Tuesday afternoon in Christmas Market season. But with the way it's hyped, I guess I was expecting a...More

This is one of the sweetest streets in Ruedesheim, an easy slow walk up a cobbled street full of delightful and inviting shops, restaurants and small hotels. This is the heart of Ruedesheim am Rhein.

The Drosselgasse is a lovely narrow alley. As I visited for the Christmas markets this allows access to the Oberstrasse and small stalls located everywhere.
