Our hotel in Rüdesheim was only a few minutes from Drosselgasse, a very narrow street lined with interesting shops and eating and drinking establishments. Everything is beautiful and charming. We walked up and down it several times during our short stay.

We took the ferry from Bingen to Rüdesheim early in the morning. Drosselgasse was not crowded and we could enjoy shopping without being smashed like sardines. We also were able to take some great pictures of the street and the shops.

Billed as a must-see location, i was soooo disappointed. Yes there are some attractive older buildings on this street but this is over-shadowed by the crass, tourist-milking shops and bars that are in and around it. Much better to hop on the cable car and...More

Probably every second German knows the "Drosselgasse" in Ruedesheim and sometimes it feels like they are all there at the same time. Small alley which is in the season crowded with people. I would recommend a visit in the Off Season when it is quieter

While this little pedestrian street is usually full of tourists and has some seedy cheap tourist shops and restaurants there are also some very nice restaurants with good interiors and often some live music. There are also some lovely old buildings which means that it...More

Half-timbered buildings, souvenir shops with plenty of tee shirts, the International music bar, and other bars, the beer garden, it's a tourist area but very attractive.

This street comes alive at night with plenty of bars offering live music as well as food and drink. The street gets very busy with tourists especially when the bells chime

Slip through the short alley, that is the Drosselgasse. Enjoy the woodcarvings in the barrels, the old half-timbered townhouses and the many(!) Bier- and Weinstuben -and then make sure to slip into one of the riverside cafés (or Bier-/Weinstube) outside for a glas of local...More

This is a narrow street a bit like the Shambles in York, England. Nice old buildings, some souvenir shops and cafes etc.

This is an adorable little street where you feel like you might be going to buy a wand instead of some German chocolates. Cute, but crowded. Some really beautiful architecture, especially up above the walkway.
