Spent a hour in the museum. A large collection of German realistic paintings from 18th century. Interesting and in perfect condition. Some portray the kassel area. Then went to the special exhibit which was strange and without english translation.
6 euros entry fee.
I am not much of a museum goer, but came here with family I was visiting. I listened to the English language listening device and learned a bit about the significance of art and culture here in Kassel, Germany.
I love this museum. It has a little bit everything for everyone. I find the contemporary pieces are fantastic and I can never see enough Joseph Beuys. Make sure you catch the view from upstairs. Rain or shine it's beautiful.
