Ok. This is my home town attraction and it's a real nice one. Basically it's water running over artificial ruins that have been built into a park with a grande finale in form of a fountain In front of the castle. In the summer it is done at night under illumination. To maximize the experience do not just walk to... More

it was a nice experience since I live in Kassel for 2 years and finally got to see it. But you have to check before if it is working, sometimes due to reconstruction plan they cancel the show

We saw lots of pictures and were looking forward to seeing the real thing but sadly it is under construction and stopped flowing the day before we arrived

It is a pity that nobody informed us that this building is under construction till 2018. You can climb up the hills and take a look at this building, but to be honest I would only go here to enjoy the view over the city. The building itself is under construction and the wasserkuenste is not working..

If you had 100 places to go before you died, then this is one of my top 10 places to see. As you enter the Park, you are overwhelmed with it dimensions and beauty It is man made and breathtaking.

Kassel is a beautiful city with a wealth of historic and cultural attractions! The Bergpark, with a huge statue of Hercules gracing the crest of the ridge, is the anchor-point for cascading waters that flow through well-maintained gardens where gorgeous floral displays abound.

Comments of people surrounding us ranged from impressive to disappointing. The display was too short to give a favourable critique. The water was turned on and started to flow down the cascade: the cascade took approximately 20 minutes to fill and the water was turned off so that the cascade emptied. There was then nearly a 2 hour wait until... More

I'm sure this is much nicer without all the scaffolding, but rather silly to do MAJOR renovations with awful scaffolding in Mid August which I would imagine would be peak tourist season! All some rich aristocrat's series of follies and the idea is kind of wierd but nevertheless impressive engineering!

Suiting for a walk, picnik, view the waterfontain, enjoy life. You can have a drink at one of the bars in the hotels in the park.
