I parked up at the base near the Schloss, 7euros pays for parking and all access. Firstly I wandered round the Schloss looking for good camera angles, then I ventured up the hill! This was mid Sunday morning at there weren't too many people so...More

Having driven through Kassel a year before and seeing the imposing buildings in the Bergpark, we vowerd to return one day and visit it. Parking was well-organized up at the Herkules entrance, and enabled us to take the easy route – walking downward – while...More

Follow the tracks and walk through the woods made me feel rejuvenated. Though the climb was steep but its worth it all. Seeing the trees change color in Autumn is one of the best experience one can have.

I recommended this place to my family on a recent visit from a YouTube video I had seen. It did not meet expectations. The water flows were not as exciting as the videos and there were some major renovations being done. We drove over two...More

The Bergpark is a magical place, I really enjoy the overall atmosphere. Be prepared for a lot of walking, the park is quite big and, as the name suggests, on a hill. I can't wait to go again.

A giant statue of Hercules towers over the Bergpark and overlooks the Castle Wilhelmshöhe and city of Kassel. On Sundays and Wednesdays a large fountain at the foot of the Hercules erupts and the water cascades down the many steps and over water falls. One...More

I've had the good fortune to go here with locals. Because of the heat and lack of rain, Herkulus was dry, and I haven't yet got to experience the waterfall, it is a beautiful area to walk through. The entire park is just lovely to...More
