If there is one church in Fulda you want to visit, make it this one. One of the oldest churches in Germany (dating back to the 9th century), it is small, but very impressive. Walk around, don't miss the crypt, the oldest part of the...More

Sitting next door to the cathedral it's a very austere church in comparison but a good look at a church as they were perhaps meant to be without all the grandeur and splendour.

This small church is right next to the Dome and is easy to stop in. It is very small, but one of the oldest in Europe so worth the quick visit.

From outside, this church may look like old and ordinary but when you go inside, you realise what a secret jewel it is. It dates from the Carolingian ages, so its decoration is simple but quite breathtaking. It is for free. Taking pictures isn't allowed.

Its considered to be the oldest Holy Sepulcher church in Germany built in the Carolingian architectural style on behalf of abbot Eigilin 820. It is located in the neighborhood of the cathedral of Fulda.

Very small on the inside, at least what we were able to see. But historically very interesting because of the year that it was built.

If you are wandering through the baroque quarter, you cannot help but notice this smaller church with its witches hat towers. This church is different from the baroque structures, as the rotunda and the crypt go back to 900 AD.

This old church is situated on a hill near the cathedral, don't miss it! The central part used to be the chapel of the monastery and dates from around 700; it is beautifully built in the round. Later this chapel was enlarged to the church...More

Came out of the Cathedral and there up the hill at the side stood St Michael's, so while in the "churchy" mood, decided to look-see. What a quirky little church this is after the grandeur of the cathedral. The underground "chapel" down some steps to...More
