The area between the central Main bridges are inviting for a walk, you can take it south from Römer and north toward main station, e.g. Maintenance of the waterside walk used to be better after they renovated the housing area.

Part of the historic Sachenhausen district, the embankment of the river Main is home to many important museums including the famous Stadel museum. It also makes for a relaxing walk and hosts a flea market on weekends.

In summer theres a festival here with loads of different food and music. We visited the museums during the day and then spent two nights dancing and listening to music. Party atmosphere!

A number of different galleries here and worth having a look at them all, they also have a fairly decent cafe for a break for coffee.
