Visited here to kill some time before flight. Not very large exhibition but interesting stuff about how people invented photography and film making. Second floor with multiple screens and movies scenes was very nice.

It is a nice experience to visit. Starting from very old techniques to the modern ones, the museum has nicely collected the film making tools over the years. A few of the mixing and editing can be done on your own!

Spent a good 2-3 hours at this great museum. Especially loved the interactivity and the brilliant montages of films covering aspects of sound, lighting and music etc. Would definitely recommend to any film buffs or fans of german/early cinema.

German Film Museum is a very interesting and nice museum. It gives you the opportunity to observe whole history of German cinema, which I find very good!

First floor is a standard history of film production, dating back to the very beginnings of moving images. Second floor is filled with modern film clips, interactive screens. Just generally a lot of fun. Excellent coffee in the cafe!

Small but packed with relevant information concerning film and media. A very good representation of projectors and early machines. Worth an hour of your time. It's located close to four or five other museums.
