We loved the peace and quit of the whole area. The wrought-iron street lamps are absolutely beautiful. The fountain outside is clean and working. We spend quite a bit of time in the adjoining park where there are a number of very old as well...More

The Old Opera House, a beautiful well maintained and historic building. Unfortunately never had the opportunity to see the interior as it was closed. The Opera House from the outside is quite remarkable and well worth a visit.

The architectural elegance of the old opera of Frankfurt obliged us to fall in love with its glamour from the first sight. It is in the very lively centre of Frankfurt. A green area was found opposite to it. A nice fountain is in front...More

This is Frankfurt's most beautiful concert hall for classical music. All the great musicians from all over the world come to this traditional Old Opera House. We call it "Alte Oper". It's classical music program is amazing. F.e., the festival for classical music starting in...More

Great location for a concert, wonderful acoustics. A beautiful building inside and out. The square outside the theatre is lovely with cafes and bars in the vicinity. The building looks even more stunning at night when it is lit up by the characterful street lights.

I visited the “Carmina Burana” just couple of months ago. The building is beautiful both outside and inside. The hall is quite modern, great sound.

Hi John I see others have answered. I thought I saw some publicity about it while I was in Frankfurt. Sounds like it will be a wonderful few days. Have fun and safe travels.

Loraine, which concert are you going to? At least there is a "Abendkasse" which opens 1 hour before each concert where you can purchase last minute tickets. Should be possible to deposit already paid tickets there as well... More

Hi! If the concert is inside the opera, then I would definitely recommend wearing something chic. Not necessarily a tie, but a shirt and blazer will do! Hope I could help. Have fun at the concert!
