We visited the Alte Oper Frankfurt (Old opera house) twice while travelling through Frankfurt as tourists. We saw two visiting orchestras, firstly the Berlin Philharmonic and then the Luxembourg Philharmonic. Both concerts were excellent! The hall is very large and as tickets were quite expensive...More

You cannot miss it when in the city, situated next to Goethestrasse and Fressgass', surrounded by good restaurants and boutiques. See classic performances or Jazz sessions, sound is good, restaurant upstairs is good

To think this place was destroyed in WWII has was put back together through private donations is amazing. If you get a can, that a look inside to witness the beauty of the old opera house.

Very carismatic building and corner in Frankfurt. You can mix a walking with the shopping and dining around the cafes.

I am glad that they gave this place a face lift. It is so beautiful to see from the outside. There are various shows and one just has to pick the best ones. Enjoy a night out.

Loraine, which concert are you going to? At least there is a "Abendkasse" which opens 1 hour before each concert where you can purchase last minute tickets. Should be possible to deposit already paid tickets there as well... More

Hi! If the concert is inside the opera, then I would definitely recommend wearing something chic. Not necessarily a tie, but a shirt and blazer will do! Hope I could help. Have fun at the concert!
