A bunch of 3D posters and other curiosities, some illusions, smoke and mirror type of things. Good for kids and school-goers. Unfortunately, the high entrance fee is not an illusion. Go and spend your money in some restaurant instead.

We were taken here on recent visit to Aschaffenburg. The place is a former world war 2 bomb shelter, which was purchased by its present owner in 1994 and transformed into a museum of illussions, with many 3 dimensional displays that require yo to wear...More

For old or young. in a nice neighborhood were you find good Restaurants a fresh look into what a museum can show. it is small and the private collection offers good examples of the optical illusions they are specialized. My kids loved it.

We spent four hours there, and it was great fun! There are many things explained in English, plus the people working there are fluent in English and give you a heads up on what to do. The owner was also there and spent time with...More

It's more like a school science centre than a museum, and only for local since everything us in Germans. Seriously over priced for non German speaking visitors.

Yes, the museum is overpriced, doesn't have English explanations and probably not unique, but we had a lot of fun there, didn't need any explanation and just enjoyed the illusions, though we are in the "adults" category. I might assume that kids will absolutely love...More

We were disappointed to see all the experiments are explained in German. It is clear that this center is built for local people and targeting mainly school group visit. With little effort by the staff to make the translation to English and some other language...More

So, it is written "EXPLORA: MUSEUM+SCIENCE+TECHNOLOGY". IT IS NOT MUSEUM, IT IS NOT CONNECTED WITH SCIENCE OR TECHNOLOGY! Even you can find this "Museum" in official guide, this is not Museum at all! All you can find there is 3D illusions and hologram pictures. It...More

Explora does not provide the experience you expect after visiting their website. It is terribly outdated and overprized (16 euro). It is like time stood still for 30 years with not much more on offer than 3D posters and old picture viewers.

We scanned a QR code at the entrance which gave us €2 each off the price and we still had to pay €34 for 2 adults and one child. I wish we hadn't bothered. Not much to see at all - largely 3d pictures and...More
