Very impressed that they have the funds and work started to refurbish to World Heritage standard. The weather was kind and we had a wander in the gardens. It would be nice to come back in 18 months time and see progress

Nice place and must see when in Darmstadt. Wouldn't travel to Darmstadt only to see it, though. Nothing out of the ordinary, I'd say.

Another old German city full of wonderful surprises. Old town very picturesque with some amazing architectural gems. This is also the home of Merck, the chemical giant who are everywhere and sponsor the local football team too.
