If you're looking for photo opportunities, you will get tired within 15 mins as the warehouses are all the same. May be there were nice cafes but we didn't have time to get into one.

The largest old haven warehouse in the world, great and still lively (not a museum) and part of the Unesco world heritage.

Love the beautiful buildings here. Wondering around is peaceful and easy. Plenty of chances to take beautiful pictures.. and amazingly not to be rude, but the canals don't smell at all. If you are tired you can stop easily at a cafe and have a...More

Went to the warehouse district when we were on a harbor cruise!! I was so glad we chose the smaller boat as the bigger boats could have not taken there! Beautiful architecture!! A must see!'

Nice warehouses, but nothing exited. Maybe if you take a guide and she/he tells you interesting stuff about these warehouses it's more fun, but for us it wasn't so fascinating.

Accessible by metro. Really nice to walk between the different bridges in our way to the port and then to the city Centre!

Camping Buchholz looks to be as close as you can get and that is not in the city centre, but like previous advice said, try to park outside Hamburg and use a hostel.
