The Zoo, though fairly extensive is far too costly. Once in the zoo having paid a steep entrance fee, you find that some of the more interesting sections cost. I personally believe that some of the animals that we did see were not properly cared...More

It's the best zoo I've ever been in. It is big but very well organised and there is loads of benches and places to rest and get snack. It was full of children and families. You can buy food for animals in the shop and...More

It is a great place to visit!! So many animals and things to do!! The animals are placed in a way, they feel so close! There are some that are free wandering. My family enjoyed the animals from the artics (bears, pinguins, walruss). So worth...More

This zoo is in a large parc with a lot of care for the landscape a giving animals a natural surrounding as much as possible. The aquarium is also great.

The attraction is represented by some wild animals walking freely in the garden. What I think was very useful and good was the teaching activity: care-takers of the zoo presented the animals to groups of children. At the end, the former asked some questions on...More

Very tourist "unfriendly"......we don't all speak German, so if this is a tourist attraction, then at least have your zoo layout and signage in English as well........it is after all the universally recognized language. We wandered around getting lost because the layout on the zoo...More

Very nice zoo, not as big as the zoo in Prague, but you can spend here 3-4 hours. Try to visit in not rainy day.

If these attractions were listed separately, I would give the zoo 5 stars and the aquarium 1. The zoo is excellent and has a fantastic range of animals including a huge ice world with walruses, polar bears and lots of species of penguins. The highlight...More

Really nice to walk around. Lots of animal feeding times so great to watch. Elephants take from your hand. Bears fantastic. But so were the walruses! Easy walk from station. Nice littler restaurant in centre.

The Zoo is private I do not think so considering the high pricing they have but the best would be to check directly with them
Is the zoo Stroller Friendly? Do they allow pets to come walk around? (Can I bring my 8 lb dog along?)

Hi,I would reckon the zoo is very friendly for strollers--it is Germany and they do things correctly unlike my country!. Hope you enjoy your visit--we spent around 5 hours there so leave plenty of time.
Is there anywhere near the zoo that is good for lunch? Danke

Hi, we didn't get to have anything near the zoo but I would recommend the Factory Hasselbrook.
