The idea is simple: In completely darkened rooms blind people lead small groups of guests through an exhibition in which everyday situations are experienced altogether differently, without eyesight. In the dark, the daily routine becomes a new experience. A reversion of roles is created: sighted people are confronted with different ways of perception; blind people provide them with security and a sense of orientation transmitting a world without pictures. In addition to the exhibition, we offer Dinner in the Dark, Seminars & Trainings in the dark and Dialogue in Silence.

The BLIND tour is really a must go, Its really intesting actually to have a real human experience, and to be toured around this great place. I loved the ticket process as well, very conviently via internet and I just appeared on time. Time is...More

Nothing could have prepared me for the feeling of vulnerability being denied sight, however, the guide was absolutely lovely and was very reassuring the whole way round. It was an experience like I have never had before and would really recommend it. I did feel...More

I was totally unprepared for how utterly terrifying it is to be deprived of absolutely all light. I am not afraid of the dark but there is something very frightening when your view of the world is exactly the same with your eyes open or...More

We went to Hamburg to check out Miniatur Wunderland, but this was a wonderful surprise, and two of my kids enjoyed this experience better than MW.

Spent the afternoon on a tour in the dark here and it was brilliant. The guide spoke excellent English and for such a simple idea it had a profound impact on us all. Although we thought Hamburg was a dump if we do ever return...More

We joined the Dialogue in Silence, it was less full as compared to Dialogue in the Dark so we honestly joined with lower expectation but the tour was excellent, bringing new perspective and experience to us and have a lot of fun with hand gestures...More

This was an experience taken with some trepidation. We were given instructions and a cane to help us through the maze of life, which sighted people take for granted. For me personally I could feel my eyes widening in the hope of a little light...More

Having the opportunity to experience even a tiny part of a blind person’s world was astoundingly humbling. The ‘tour’, led by a visually impaired person-for us it was Kerem- takes you through a simulated park, fruit and vegetable market, road crossing, boat tour, inside a...More

We attended an English speaking tour and our guide Michael was brilliant. A really amazing experience, we went on a whim and we're so glad we did, wouldn't want to miss this.

What an amazing experience. You get to experience various settings in complete darkness as a blind person would experience them, including ordering and paying for drinks and/or sweets at a bar. A blind person leads the tour. Terrifying to start with and hugely enlightening. Do...More

There are English speaking guides and when you book you can ask for one. You can book by going to the place in person, I didn't have much luck with the website or by phone. If possible ask for a tour that is only in English... More
