Lovely tiny Captains-houses, so cute and well decorated, but you need condition....lots of stairs ( not to heaven ) and you can't use cycles.

Interesting place to visit when the weather is fine and you have some time free in Hamburg. Reminded us of mediterranean coastal towns of Italy, just that here you have the river Elbe instead of a sea.

It is always a pleasure to walk the small pavements in the heart of Blankenese down to the Elbe. Highly recommended for great river views watching the cruise liners and cargo ships go by.
