The Telemann, Bach, and Brahms museum are small museums, but very well organised and with lots of interactive features, i.e. music to listen to. Above all, the staff is lovely, very knowledgeable and keen on spreading information on the composers. In addition, a ad hoc concert on the spinet was given to us! Very recommendable for anyone interested in music.

This museum concentrates on Brahms early life in Hamburg. It is small and all in German although the staff gave us explanations in good English. It is near the Komponisten-Quartier Museum where you buy the tickets. This one covers Telemann and CPE Bach and will be expanded to cover other composers with Hamburg connections. And it also includes a coffee... More

Lovely little place in a charming neighborhood. The tour guides are warm & knowledgeable. The place is tiny. But filled with great photos and librettos.

This is a small museum, but at 7 Euros for both this and the Telemann Museum, it is reasonably priced. There is a wide selection of music to listen to along with many photos and other information. The lady working at the museum was very helpful in making sure I was able to enjoy my visit despite not speaking German... More

We had a great time in this museum, learning a lot about Brahms life and looking at original copies of his scores. Once of his piano's sits upstairs, and visitors can play it if they want. It's a small museum, you don't need a lot of time to go over it, but the combined ticket with the Komponisten-Quartier Museum (Baroque... More

Any music lover is sure to get a lot out of this museum. Located on a quiet back street, you have to ring the doorbell to be let in, and you'll receive a warm welcome from the staff, who are obviously just as passionate about Brahms as their visitors. Five euro entry to the Brahms museum. Leaflets etc. available in... More

Hamburg is Brahms' birthplace, but the house he was born unfortunately was destroyed by the war. This is the museum dedicated to him with exhibits of many documents of his photos, copied version of music notes, concert programs and letters. Brahms bust and stand welcomes you as you enter the lobby. You need to ring the bell and a volunteer staff will... More

A small but charming museum, located on a BEAUTIFUL street. I found it very insightful and interesting, and I even got to play Brahms' piano! A relatively quick stop, it took me 40 mins, but I went through all the details and played his piano for a bit. A great attraction for anyone who enjoys classical music! Information Handouts at... Save your time and money. There is little to see here. Rude staff. Johannes Brahams deserved better.

A lovely little museum, run by very enthusiastic volunteers. Very informative, and very authentic memorabilia about Brahms ' life. Entry fee of E4 was reasonable. Highly recommended if you are interested in music.
