When I had some free time, I found this place an interesting place to visit, and explore. I was a little ill-prepared information-wise about the area, but I like to explore, so... NO problem!

Very nice place to walk to, not very far from the city center and city hall (20mn walking normal pace). If you have to eat there, you can go.to Carl's : not super great food but reasonnable price and nice waiter.

The port covers a huge area with many docks including an enormous dry dock, container transfer wharfs and cruise berths. The best place to take the many signposting boats from is Landungsbrucken floating dock. It also has many souvenir shops and restaurants along it's length....More

A must see because there is loads to visit and see around the port area. Quite a concentration of museums and the number one attraction in Germany (miniature wonderland!!). The new opera house is worth a free visit and walk around for the views.
